Have you ever visited a website that asks you for your credit card information? If yes, then in one or another, you may be a victim of site sniffers or eavesdroppers who do this over unsecured internet path.Well, you may have had somebody mention eavesdropping or you have seen it written somewhere.Eavesdropping is where someone taps into internet communication lines using a remote computer in a network;this is normally done over an local area network topology connected via a HUB.Eavesdropping is normally done to steal sensitive/personal information like:e.g passwords, sessions, credit card information or actually the general information of an identity. Before giving out any information of your general identity;either through form submission or voip protocols like skype,do take a look at the web address on the address bar:if it begins with http//:...or https//:...if you happen to be on a http site, then you aren't safe at all.It will be safe if it begins with https://'s' means security;this means that your communication with that website or voip is encrypted and cannot be tapped.stay safe!
